How do I download an e-book from VLeBooks?

Answer

VLeBooks (web version) allows for online reading and downloads. If downloading an e-book is not available, the option will not show. The download option will show how long you can borrow the book for.

To download and read VLEbooks you will need Adobe Digital Editions and an AdobeID. Adobe Digital Editions is free to download and to use. If you are using a Queen Mary managed device or Library device and need assistance, please contact IT Services.

The number of copies of an e-book will vary. If all copies are in use, you will be prompted to insert your email and join a virtual queue for the book.

Please note: The maximum downloads on VLeBooks is 1 book per user. This is in order to keep distribution of our resources fair. E-book downloads automatically time out after 1 day. This limit does not apply to e-books you read online.
