How do I find the journal article I need?

Answer

To find a specific journal article search for the title of the article using the Articles and more tab in Library Search.

If this fails to find the article we recommend that you also check to see if we subscribe to the journal it is contained in. This is because not all journals provide records for Library Search of each article they publish.

  • Use the E-journals by Subject list to search for the title of the journal (not the article title)

  • If you find the journal, click on 'Full Text Access' to see what years of the journal we subscribe to
  • Click on the relevant link to be taken to the journal online

  •   Browse or search the online journal's site to find the article you need.

If you need an article from a journal that we do not subscribe to see our FAQ What should I do if Queen Mary Library doesn't have the item I am looking for?

If you are a staff member who would like to suggest a new journal subscription for the Library, please see our subscriptions webpage for more information. Research Postgraduates should route subscription requests via their Supervisor.
