When collecting your SCONUL card you will need to provide the following:

  • The “SCONUL Access Approved” email from your home university
  • Your home institution student/staff ID card

Please note that we will not issue SCONUL cards without these documents.

Further Information for Queen Mary SCONUL Library Card Holders:

During the examination period, from 29 April to 2 June inclusive, access to Mile End Library is suspended. New cards for Mile End will be ready for collection from June 4 2024.  Access to Whitechapel Library is not affected.

Borrowing: SCONUL Bands A, B or C visitors can borrow up to 6 items, however you will not have access to Queen Mary Library electronic resources. One week loan items will automatically renew for up to 51 weeks unless recalled by another Library user.

Managing Your Account Online: To check your loans and renew online, please visit http://www.library.qmul.ac.uk/self-service/ and select ‘Renew/check your loans and holds’. You will need your library barcode number (located on the front of your card) and the library PIN you provided on your Queen Mary registration form.
