SCONUL standard replies - Card ready for collection (Bands A, B and C)

Answer

Dear <Reader>,

Thank you for registering to visit Queen Mary University of London Library using the SCONUL Access Scheme. I am writing to inform you that your Queen Mary Library Card is ready for collection from Mile End Library. Please collect your card from the Welcome Desk during staffed hours (see our Opening Hours pages) within 7 days.

When collecting your SCONUL card you will need to provide the following:

  • The “SCONUL Access Approved” email from your home university
  • Your home institution student/staff ID card

Please note that we will not issue SCONUL cards without these documents.

Further Information for Queen Mary SCONUL Library Card Holders:

Access: No library card, no access. Entry to the libraries will not be granted without the physical Queen Mary Library Card.

Access times: SCONUL visitors are unable to visit our libraries between midnight and 8am

Borrowing: SCONUL Bands A, B or C visitors can borrow up to 6 items, however you will not have access to Queen Mary Library electronic resources. One week loan items will automatically renew for up to 51 weeks unless recalled by another Library user.

Managing Your Account Online: To check your loans and renew online, please visit http://www.library.qmul.ac.uk/self-service/ and select ‘Renew/check your loans and holds’. You will need your library barcode number (located on the front of your card) and the library PIN you provided on your Queen Mary registration form.

IT Services: You will not have access to Queen Mary computers or be able to print. You will only be able to access the Wi-Fi if your home institution also uses the Eduroam network and has provided you with a username and password. Otherwise, SCONUL Card holders do not have access to the Wi-Fi.

Kind regards,
